What aspects of the history of the Holocaust did you find most similar to your own experiences? Do you think that people today can learn something from this history? Could a government such as the one Hitler created ever take shape in the United States?



The Holocaust plays a major part in the history of the whole world. Alot of things happened after the Holocaust that could be realted to the Holocaust but there is nothing that was like the Holocaust. Oneof these events that i would say that is realted to Holocaust would be Israeli and Palestinian war because one of the things that i see most is there are killing or shotting the innocents children front of there parents which is very distrubiting thing ever to me.



I think that the people now should and can learn from the Holocaust because it is telling you what really can happen if something like that ever happen. And it is very evil to kill and act like that to someone about something that they can't help. No matter what if any one listen to the stories and watch any movie realted to Holocaust than they would feel bad for the Jews. And i really don't see this happening in United States I know that there are alot of people who are against other people but it would not go as bad as it did in Germany. Since America is so diverse there is no way this would be possible.

None of us can be sure how we would react to an extreme situation, until we are actually in it. But try to imagine what kind of a person you would become if you were in a concentration camp like the one described in Night. How would you react to the situations in the story (and other stories) that we’ve read?

It i was in one of those concebtration camp i would really feel bad for the jews there. I would feel really sorry for people there because Nazi was killing and treating jews like there are no body for a reason. If i was there and Nazi was killing jews for no reason i would not probally try to get out of there. I also feel horrible for the children who don't what is going on and what will happened to them next and probally would try to help them through this.So,If i was there i would not be able to stay there.

If me and my family were to go and hide from the Nazi then i would probally take:
1.My phone so i can fine out what is happeneing with the other jew friends and family.
2.I would take a diary and write anything that happens so other people can see what happened.
3.I would take a pen so i can write in my dairy with that.
4.i would take some cloth so i can chage if we have to stay long.
5.I would take my self a book so i could not get bored.

My Favorite Quote is "Books no longer have the power they once did. Those who kept silent yeasterday will remain silent tomorrow." while i was reading this quote to me... i think he is saying that the books are not meant to be written if i don't have no meaning.......and by writting the book you will tell the whole world about what really happened....if you don't try to tell what happened you will never be able to be clam your self about what really happen.... by telling someone you are not even clam your self you will tell others what happened to you... and they will be able to learn from what happened.... so i think this was my favorite part so far.....
